See Red Poster UpdateAs you will see from our Awareness Campaigns information (See Articles - left hand side), in recent years we have launched and maintained very successful "See Red" poster campaigns. These campaigns have targeted health professionals over the last few years and we now believe it is time to turn our attention to the public at large as well.

Our 2007 Spring newsletter includes several copies of our new leaflet which explains (with photographs) in non-medical terms, the signs and symptoms of retinoblastoma. We are asking families to distribute them as widely as possible in places where children and their families gather, for example, libraries, nurseries, infant schools, places of worship and community halls. If everyone distributes their share, we will have covered 5,000 locations and that's just the start because we can send you more copies if requested. Additionally, we are researching the costs and means of mailing out to some of these organisations nationally.
There are other avenues we are pursuing such as digital photography shops and photographic software producers. There could be huge potential for raising awareness if we could get posters into
- messages on computor screens
- part of computor software to remove 'red eye'
- in the envelopes of developed photographs
- in digital camera manuals
If you could help us with this then please contact us.
This is just the beginning. If you would like a copy of our poster, please email us at info@chect.org.uk or telephone 020 7377 5578.
