StaffLibby HalfordChief Executive Libby was appointed as Chief Executive of CHECT in October 2003. Prior to this she followed dual careers in communications and small company management. One of Libby's daughters, now 22, had unilateral Rb and, after radiotherapy, lost her left eye. Libby worked as a Regional Co-ordinator for the Rb Society and was chair of the Management Committee between 1993 and 1996. She is a practitioner of Tai Chi, enjoys sailing and has recently taken up drawing. Contact Libby on libby.halford@chect.org.uk Julia MorrisFamily Support Worker Julia is based In Birmingham and visits the Children's Hospital where she makes contact with families having treatment for Rb. She works nationally, introducing new families to Family Contacts, linking old and new members, providing information and helping with any Rb related matter. Learn more about the Support Workers. Julia also teaches pottery to special needs groups and works with her local community. She is still responsible for her local Millennium Green project but has retired from her boat building business. Juliette CarterSupport Worker/Information Officer Juliette Carter was appointed as a Support Worker/Information Officer in Sept 2006. Her role is to support families and those in contact with families with Rb throughout the UK. She is able to offer advice and support on any issue surrounding living with Rb. As an Information Officer Juliette is responsible for raising awareness of Rb amongst the public and with health professionals and others who come into contact with children or adults who have had the disease. Prior to taking this position with CHECT, Juliette worked as a Senior Parent Advisor for the charity Contact a Family and has also worked at the Royal London Hospital as a Children's Nurse. Juliette works for CHECT on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Emily KingAdministrator Emily joined the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust in December 2008 to provide administrative support to the team. Prior to working for CHECT Emily spent 6 years working in administration and project co-ordination within the charity sector.In her spare time Emily belongs to an amateur dramatics society and is interested in children's illustration. Fiona's enjoyed many years working for charities such as the RNLI and Tall Ships Youth Trust having begun her career in sales and marketing. Fiona, who commutes from Petersfield said "I really enjoy working with CHECT's members and volunteers and am not only humbled by the amazing work done by this wonderful charity but also by the courage and boundless enthusiasm demonstrated by its supporters." In her spare time Fiona is a consultant for the UK's largest weight loss organisation and enjoys DIY, gardening and reading.
