vision express logoVision Express and the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust are working together to raise awareness and funds for the charity. Vision Express has challenged its stores to raise £1 per day for CHECT. How? Vision Express stores provide a free glasses repair and maintenance service. If you have frames which need adjusting, perhaps the arms need tightening, the fit is not comfortable or the screws are loose, why not pop in? It doesn't matter if you didn't buy them from Vision Express in the first place, they are still happy to repair and service your glasses - for a donation to our charity.

There are over 350 Vision Express stores in the UK and they have all been given collecting boxes. If all the stores hit their target, we could benefit enormously. If you live near a Vision Express store why not pop in and introduce yourself? To find your nearest store - use the following link www.visionexpress.com/stores .

There are other ideas in the pipeline for ways in which Vision Express and CHECT can work together to raise money and awareness of Rb. For example, we are looking at ways of helping Vision Express optometrists with their continued professional development by giving training in the signs and symptoms of retinoblastoma. Money raised during our three year partnership will go towards our Research and Support programmes.  Have a look here at some of the inspirational ways Vision Express and its employees are raising money for CHECT.

  • mee healthcare
  • A big thank you to Dr Gail Lese and her team at the MEE healthcare centre, in Sainsbury's at Gallagher Park, Gloucester for donating £1500 to CHECT and making us so welcome. It was great to meet Millie, Becky, Jamie and Jade Bywater who came along too! (not forgetting Millie's buddy dog, Verity, who got all the attention.)
