Schools/nurseries

Wear your sunglasses to school day
Schools and nurseries are ideal venues to raise awareness of Rb and the signs to look for.  Why not approach your child’s school or nursery and see if they are prepared to hand out leaflets on school or nursery photo day?  Even a poster on the notice board for parents helps spread the word.
Children are encouraged to be community minded and what better way than raising funds by having a “dress as a pirate” themed day or for the older students, wear your sunglasses to school day or any of the fundraising ideas in the link below.   Encourage the school or nursery to invite the local press or radio along perhaps with a photographer – which links nicely into signs and symptoms to look out for – ie white eye reflex.
