Getting help

The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) is there to help you through the difficult period of diagnosis and treatment of your child and beyond, offering support throughout their teenage years and into adulthood.

Members grill the Rb professionals

Support workers are available to contact over the phone, on email, via our members-only forum and even on social networking sites if you’d prefer.

Younger members get stuck into activities

Linking with other families affected by retinoblastoma or even just a friendly voice to speak to when things are getting you down. We also publish a newsletter called InFocus and circulate a news bulletin every month via email to keep you informed of activities and news from the Rb world.

We hold regional meet-ups several times a year and fun days out for all the family, with targeted activities and events for adults affected by Rb, through our Beyond Rb group.

Members' Day and Annual General Meeting

Once a year we hold a Members' Day when our members get the chance to quiz the Rb teams and other medical professionals on Rb-related matters, while children are kept busy with a full programme of professionally supervised activities, sometimes related to their treatment.   Follow these links to find how else the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust can help support you.
